Introducing the M.F.A. in Creative Writing at Cornell College!
Hello! Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa has an exciting announcement to share with the literary community. We launched our Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Writing on December 30th with our first cohort of students in our low-residency program. Our M.F.A. includes 5 residencies over two years that bring our students together for 9 days and they study independently with faculty in between. Our next cohort begins with our summer residency on July 1st and the priority admissions deadline is approaching on April 1st. (We accept applications on a rolling basis.) Our faculty include notable writers including Steven Dunn, author of "Water & Power", Lily Hoang, author of "A Bestiary", and Curtis Bauer, author of "American Selfie" and we have had the opportunity to include visiting writers in our residencies including the current Iowa Poet Laureate, Debra Marquart and Patrick Rosal, author of "Brooklyn Antediluvian". Cornell College has a rich literary history and is excited to have expanded its offerings to include the college's only graduate program.
