Wildwood River Press is announcing a new annual anthology of literary and political writing, Panatrope. We invite you to submit writing about what sustains you, about what has marked you, about where you are from and what has made you.

Wildwood River Press (Minnesota) is a confluence of the arts. We publish creative work on the web and in print using open-source tools. Panatrope is an old word meaning "all octaves in music." It was also the name of the first electric record player in the 1920s. The word trope is also used in the literary world; it refers to a pattern: a plot device, theme, image, metaphor, or figure used by an author.

Poetry: up to 5 pages
Short Fiction or nonfiction: between 400-5000 words

Deadline: August 31, 2026
