Poetry reading at Eat My Words, 201 6th St. SE, Mpls.

Please join us on Nov 7th at 7:00 p.m. for a poetry reading by Carol Rucks and Mary Junge. Refreshments provided.

Carol Rucks is a Twin Cities based poet and will read from her latest collection (her fourth book) Disappearing Angels. In her work she touches on marriage, nature, city and bar life, and many other subjects, using unexpected insight and sly humor. Her website is : [email protected].

Like the late Mary Oliver, local poet Mary Junge believes that she was saved by poetry and by the beauty and comfort of nature. With winter approaching, as we continue to heal from the Winter of ICE, Junge will read nature poems from her books of poetry, from the anthology, “Lost Lake Folk Opera: United We Write, Winter of Ice,” and from other sources.  Her most recent book is “Creatures of Promise.” Earlier books include “Pilgrim Eye” and “Express Train.” Junge can be reached at [email protected].

There is metered street parking all around the bookstore. There is an elevator at the side entrance if you don’t do stairs; call 651.243.1756 if you need assistance.
