CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Prince Stories & Reflections
Writers Event & Publication Opportunity - The People's Museum for Prince 2026
The People's Museum for Prince invites Minnesota writers to submit Prince-inspired poetry, prose, and personal narratives for:
- Writers' showcase event (June 2026) as part of the museum's programs, commemorating 10 years since Prince's passing.
- Community exhibition at Roberts Gallery, North Minneapolis (June 2026)
- Planned anthology publication
We especially welcome:
- Pieces written in the immediate aftermath of Prince's passing (2016)
- Reflections on what Prince's work has meant to your creative practice
- Stories of how Prince shaped Minnesota's cultural landscape
- Work from writers who participated in prior Prince tributes or commemorative events
Submission guidelines:
- Poetry: up to 3 poems
- Prose: up to 2,000 words (contact us for longer pieces)
- Deadline: March 31, 2026
- Free to participate.

This community-curated project centers lived experience in preserving Prince's legacy. All contributors retain rights to their work.
About: The People's Museum for Prince commemorates the 10th anniversary of Prince's passing through community voices. Exhibition opens June 2026 at Roberts Gallery (formerly Homewood Studios), 2400 Plymouth Ave, North Minneapolis MN 55411. Admission and all events are free.
