Award-winning author and composer Roma Calatayud-Stocks will be leading The Author's Studio Workshop at the Edcina Art Center on Sat., Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. -11 a.m.  The Studio is located at 4701 W. 64th Street in Edina.

In her latest novel, A Symphony of Rivals, music, politics, and Beethoven's legacy in the years leading up to World War II are at the center of the story. Roma will discuss the artistic and musical contributions of some of the greatest composers and conductors, the rise of Nazism, the role of art in the public arena, and Beethoven's legacy in the early 1930's. Here is a link to a folder where you will find a feature article I have written about the book, as well as photography and a PDF of the manuscript.
