Rosemount Writers Festival and Book Fair
The Rosemount Writers Festival and Book Fair is an annual event for both readers and writers and has been hosted by the Rosemount Area Arts Council for the past 10 years. This year’s event is on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
The Rosemount Writers Festival is dedicated to helping writers of all genres improve their craft, sharpen their writing and business skills, and network with publishing professionals and other writers.
The day begins at 9 a.m. with a keynote by Minnesota Book Award winner Peter Geye. After the keynote, writers of all ages and backgrounds can choose among twelve workshops and panel presentations throughout the day covering every aspect of writing and the publishing business, including a workshop on plotting a novel taught by acclaimed author David Housewright.
The free book fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 pm, and connects readers and writers with over sixty authors, publishers, and other publishing professionals.
Since its inception, this unique literary event has showcased award-winning local and regional authors and poets with the aim to support and nurture a vibrant and inclusive Twin Cities literary community.
