Come, write about art in an immersive experience of exhibitions, lectures, and collections at the Minneapolis Art Institute. In this adventurous class, writer and Loft Executive & Artistic Director, Arleta Little, will invite participants to explore ekphrastic writing through discussion, exercises, and workshops while learning about visual art and artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Print studies class will offer behind the scenes access to Mia's Print Study Room.

During this social hour, we encourage current and prospective friends of the Loft to come hang and write with us from 4:00 - 5:30 PM at Open Book and join us for the Writers of Color Open Mic Reading afterwards at 6:00 PM. Drinks and light snacks are provided. $5 or pay as you can at the door for general public; free for Friends of the Loft!

Celebrate the launch of the inaugural Loft Youth Anthology! Enjoy a reading by young writers from Loft classes (Sept 2024–Aug 2025), followed by a book signing and reception.
