Lisa M. Bolt Simons

Lisa's publications include more than 60 nonfiction children's books, five middle-grade "choose your path" sports novels, and the adult history book Faribault Woolen Mill: Loomed in the Land of Lakes. Accolades include two Honorable Mentions for the McKnight Artist Fellowship in Children's Literature (YA), three Minnesota State Arts Board grants, the MNSCBWI Writing Mentorship, and The Loft's Shabo Award. Lisa retired from education after 25 years but still teaches online part-time. Originally from Colorado, she's lived in México, Italy, and Japan; she currently resides in a town of 140ish in Southern Minnesota.
