Lisa M. Bolt Simons
Lisa's publications include 46 nonfiction children's books, four middle-grade "choose your path" sports novels, and the adult history book Faribault Woolen Mill: Loomed in the Land of Lakes. Accolades include two Honorable Mentions for the McKnight Artist Fellowship in MG/YA Literature, a Minnesota State Arts Board grant, the MNSCBWI Writing Mentorship, and The Loft's Shabo Award. Lisa retired from education after 25 years; she worked with students ages 5 to 70 from around the world. Originally from Colorado, she's lived in México, Italy, and Japan; she currently resides in Southern Minnesota. She's a mom to girl/boy twins and is a wife to a guy who also loves to read.
