Lisa M. Bolt Simons

Lisa is the author of more than 70 nonfiction and fiction children's books, six digital articles for Capstone's PebbleGO Next, five middle-grade "choose your path" sports novels, and the adult history book Faribault Woolen Mill: Loomed in the Land of Lakes. Accolades include two Honorable Mentions for the McKnight Artist Fellowship in Children's Literature (YA), three Minnesota State Arts Board grants, the MNSCBWI Writing Mentorship, and The Loft's Shabo Award. Lisa spent 25 years as an English as a Second Language (ESL)/Multi-Language (ML) and English teacher and Literacy Coach; she now teaches writing classes and provides editorial services.
