ClassMemory as Archive
This course focuses on personal memory and personal history, using prompts to help generate writing about lived experiences. In this class, students will be encouraged to cull through their own memories in order to write vivid stories and sketches of people, places, and past events. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their own lives in order to write about their unique life experiences while also focusing on the shared experience of what it means to be a human being living in the world.
Through in-class writing prompts and discussion, students will have the opportunity to write reflective pieces about their past and tell their stories through fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
