ClassTarot for Creative Writing Generation, Structure, and Process
Tarot For Creative Writing is a class where students will learn how to combine tarot reading with their writing process, focusing on the expansive creativity that is richly embedded in a tarot deck.
This class will help students learn a new tool to help them from start (brainstorming) to finish (final edits), as well as explore the story structures (and how to rewire them to work for yourself) inherent in the cards. Each session will focus on a specific type of tarot cards, starting with the Court Cards where we will explore what type of writer we are, and what type of narrator may work best for us.
From there, The Major Arcana will help us outline our work. The third session will be on the Wands as idea generation and the Cups as Doing the Writing. The fourth session will focus on Swords for editing and Pentacles for final polishes and exploring how existing work fits into the body of work we are creating in our lifetime. Class will feature lecture, discussion, and time to explore the ideas brought up in session.
No class July 2.
