ClassPoints of Origin: Writing About Home
The stories we have lived can often only be retold through the lens of home. In this multi-week class, writers will explore different craft techniques for bringing to life on the page the places we have, and still do, call home.
This class is ideal for writers of all levels who are:
-interested in experimenting with place-based writing
-currently working on a memoir or a collection of personal essays
-want the setting of their WIP to be as multi-faceted and influential as the protagonist(s)
-haven’t started a project yet, but have a strong urge to write about a particular place she/he/they have spent significant time in and feel deeply connected to
Please submit this request form at least two to three weeks in advance if you have any accessibility requests for this class. This class takes place in-person, at the Loft at Open Book. Please see the Loft’s website for the most up to date information about the Loft’s COVID policies.
