ClassHappy Beginnings
It’s well known in the publishing world that in order to grab readers, a book must present incredibly strong writing with a compelling hook in the first few pages – or even the first few paragraphs, or sentences.
In this three-hour workshop, we will dissect some of the most powerful beginnings in contemporary literature and workshop our own writing to find the very moment where our scenes, books, and stories should begin.
This workshop will offer numerous exercises designed to generate work. Through these exercises, writers will develop a cunning sense of how to begin a piece of any length so as to hook and dazzle their audience.
All Classes listed on the Loft website take place in Central Standard Time (CST); make sure you understand your time zone, and adjust accordingly
