Lit!Series

Welcome to the Loft Lit!Series, a quarterly weekend gathering for writers and readers. Each weekend will feature a vibrant menu of options including celebrations, conversations, intensive classes, lunchtime learnings, and one-on-one feedback meetings with agents and editors. 

We'll kick things off with a party on Friday night, setting the stage for connections and conversations across the weekend. During the days on Saturday and Sunday, the Loft will host feedback intensive classes with visiting authors and one-on-one pitches and consultations with visiting agents and editors. On Saturday night, we’ll host a centerpiece conversation featuring our visiting authors. 

But it’s not just all the offerings that make these weekends unique. Each weekend gathering will highlight the work of a single esteemed publisher: their authors, their editors, and the agents who work closely with them. Through this lens, participants will gain a better understanding of the inner workings across the publishing landscape. 

Our first weekend series will take place June 7-9, 2024. We will soon announce the dates of our next four series, likely taking place in September, November, April, June of each year. As we celebrate 50 years at the Loft and look forward to our next chapter, we can’t wait to see you at the first Lit!Series featuring Roxane Gay! Lit!Series weekend will also have Access Funds available. More details to come.
